Five themes

The five themes of geography go along with the unmnemonic MR. HELP!
Movement
Region
.
HE; Human Environmental Interaction
Location
Place
All of these take place in the book Waiting For the Rain. Movement in the city of Johannesburg is driving in a car or simply walking as they said in the book, Tengo walked to school. Region in the book could be that they live in a township in Africa. Human Environmental Interactions can be found like when Tengo and his friend Emma were having cold drinks because of how hot it was outside. Place is also in the book because they live in a township. And lastly Place can be found in this book when Tengo is reading the directions to find the house of the Millars! And those are the five themes of geography in the book Waiting for the rain.

Drawing

Some of the main visual elements are: octopus like legs, a mans large old head, a name tag on the man that says England, and its hand on top of mounds of sand representing other countries. Politically speaking, this peace means that England is now taking over to many countries, and that they should leave those countries alone. I think the cartoonist's opinion is that is not happy that England was starting to conquer the world because other wise he wouldn't have shown England crushing all these other countries! To make this cartoon more persuasive the cartoonist might have shown allot of havoc on the countries being attacked. Well, there was contrast but not much, there was repetition with all the legs and that was good! There was also alignment, everything was equal and there was proximity, so over all the drawing was good.

does violence lead to more violence?

Violence defiantly leads to more violence, its like a cycle. An example from the real world is Iraq attacking the U.S and then the U.S wanting revenge so they go and attack Iraq. One example from the book Julius Caesar is when Cassius and the other conspirators kill Julius Caesar, then Antony and Octavius want revenge, so they seek to Cassius and the other conspirators. Like i said violence leads only to more violence.
