Some of the main visual elements are a large Black image of Africa with a large White footprint on top of it. The issue the cartoonist is supposedly putting up, is that Europe is trampling over Africa leaving footprints. And he is not happy about this. The reason you can tell he isn't happy, is because if you look at the footprint there's dry land in that are. So, what the cartoonist is trying to indicate is that where ever the Europeans go, there ruining those area's.Only, to make this point stronger, and more persuasive the cartoonist might have wanted to draw some damage such as fires and war in the footprint, showing real catastrophic events. Well the strategy i used to get land was, Divide and Conquer! When looking for land you look for, if possible, coast land for bringing in ships, and inland for crops and other things alike. Well, both France and England had pretty much the same amount of land, I would have to say England won. This is because they have allot of coast like as well as large chunks of inland so they won the scramble for Africa. But then, who lost? Technically, Africa actually lost the scramble for Africa, because by the end of it they barely owned any land at all!

Some of the main visual elements are: octopus like legs, a mans large old head, a name tag on the man that says England, and its hand on top of mounds of sand representing other countries. Politically speaking, this peace means that England is now taking over to many countries, and that they should leave those countries alone. I think the cartoonist's opinion is that is not happy that England was starting to conquer the world because other wise he wouldn't have shown England crushing all these other countries! To make this cartoon more persuasive the cartoonist might have shown allot of havoc on the countries being attacked. Well, there was contrast but not much, there was repetition with all the legs and that was good! There was also alignment, everything was equal and there was proximity, so over all the drawing was good.

Violence defiantly leads to more violence, its like a cycle. An example from the real world is Iraq attacking the U.S and then the U.S wanting revenge so they go and attack Iraq. One example from the book Julius Caesar is when Cassius and the other conspirators kill Julius Caesar, then Antony and Octavius want revenge, so they seek to Cassius and the other conspirators. Like i said violence leads only to more violence.
